Manchester United kick off their 2024/25 UEFA Europa League campaign on Wednesday night as they look to win their first European title since 2017. 

The Red Devils face Dutch side FC Twente in their opening fixture of the new ‘league phase’ of the competition after the format changed in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

United have won the Europa League before, but only on one occasion and Erik Ten Hag will be desperate for a major trophy this season as his job is under scrutiny.

With the pressure on United, the Europa League is a fantastic chance for them to stamp their mark on European football this season and show everyone that they are still one of the biggest teams in the continent.
