Manchester United may consider an approach for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling if they do offload Alejandro Garnacho, according to ManchesterWorld reporter Rich Fay.
The Red Devils are known to be fans of the teenager, having kept tabs on his progress over the last few months.
However, supporters on X don’t believe Dibling is an improvement on the player he would be replacing:
Another overhyped, overexpensive English player. When will we learn.

Barely an upgrade. Wheres the ambition? Go get Cunha

I’d rather keep Garnacho than do that

Don’t get me wrong, Dibbling looks to be a baller – but this is a clear downgrade

United being United. Would sell Garnacho for say 50m and buy Dibling for 60m and think that’s good business.

Southampton’s valuation is pretty steep
Reports over the past week have suggested that the Saints want a fee in excess of the £55m Chelsea paid for Romeo Lavia at the start of last season.
Considering that United may only get a little bit more than that for Garnacho, it seems like an excessive amount to pay for Dibling, who has scored just 2 goals in 20 Premier League appearances.
United will have competition for Dibling
In addition to the 18-year-old’s valuation, another complication is the level of interest being shown in the player.
Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham are also said to be keen on securing Dibling’s services, although you would think that the Blues’ pursuit will end if they land Garnacho.
For many fans, spending the little money that the club have on an unproven youngster is not the way to go. We shall see if the Red Devils step up their attempts to sign the Southampton winger over the coming days.
