Ivan Toney, Brentford
Ivan Toney had been linked with Manchester United this summer alongside Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham and Chelsea.
The 28-year-old seems likely to be on the move and would provide United with a proven goalscorer who also has plenty of experience. He would come in and do a fine job before Hojlund returns at which point Ten Hag would expect a competition for the starting role.
Toney’s blend of strength and pace makes him the ideal out-and-out striker, which is exactly what United now needs.
