Premier League Rivals Consider Shock January Move For Marcus Rashford Amid Serie A Interest

West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Marcus Rashford amid the striker’s uncertain future at Manchester United.

Rashford’s future at Old Trafford became unstable after he was dropped from the squad by Ruben Amorim on several occasions leading up to the January transfer window.

It has led to much speculation as to where the former England international will move, with a January transfer looking almost inevitable for the 27-year-old.

He has struggled to find consistent form for United this season under both Amorim and former boss Erik Ten Hag, scoring four goals in 15 Premier League matches.

In a surprise turn of events, Premier League rivals West Ham have emerged as a potential destination according to TalkSport, as they have asked United to keep them informed on the possibility of a loan deal.

The report suggests that United have resigned themselves to the fact that they may be unable to sell Rashford during this window, and so a loan move away may provide the outcome.

The Hammers recently had a change at the manager position as Graham Potter was appointed on Thursday morning, consequently, the same morning that reports emerged of interest in Rashford.

It could provide a quick move away for the 27-year-old, who declared in December in an interview that he was ready for a “new challenge”, after Amorim dropped him.

Marcus Rashford has generated significant interest from top European clubs

West Ham will have a lot of competition if they want to land the attacker on loan this month, as several teams from Italy have declared their interest in signing Rashford.

AC Milan are currently the frontrunners, with Sky Sports reporting that Rashford’s agent travelled to Italy to meet with the San Siro-based club, over a potential move.

Furthermore, Napoli are also said to be keen to sign Rashford, with reports suggesting that they could offer a swap deal with Victor Osimhen heading to Old Trafford in exchange. Osimhen had previously attracted interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
