Manchester United have decided to put Marcus Rashford “up for sale”, according to The Guardian.
Head coach Ruben Amorim reportedly believes that the 27-year-old “needs to leave” Old Trafford so he can begin a cultural reset at the club which has let standards slide over the last decade.
Rashford was omitted from the matchday squad for the Manchester derby at the weekend and most fans on X agree the time has come for the England international to be sold:
This is bold move 🐐

Thank you Amorim

It's been long overdue. Any serious coach will definitely sell him. He is gradually becoming very comfortable yet not performing any better. Bring in new guys and build a better team.

Who will buy Rashford?
The biggest obstacle in the way of a sale in January is the player’s wages. He is said to be earning around £365,000 a week.
Considering Rashford is not the one looking for a move, it may be hard to persuade him to accept a transfer elsewhere where he would get a lower salary.
A lot may depend on whether the winger is open to a switch to Saudi Arabia. Clubs in the Middle Eastern country would be able to accommodate him financially.
Amorim explained his decision after the United star was left out for the City fixture
Speaking after Rashford was left out of the squad at the weekend, the United head coach said that he wasn’t happy with certain aspects of his preparation for the match:
“For me, it’s important, the performance in training, the performance in game, the way you dress, the way you eat, the way you engage with teammates, the way you push your teammates, everything is important when we want to change a lot of things.”
