‘Should Start’ ‘Going To Be Dark For Liverpool’ Fans React As United Try To Get New Signing Involved This Weekend

Manchester United are hoping to have new signing Manuel Ugarte available for the game against Liverpool on Sunday, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Sheth said that the Red Devils will need to ensure that the Uruguayan international is registered by midday today:

“I think United are confident of beating the first deadline, which is midday Friday. So once he gets registered by then, which United are very confident of, he can actually be involved in United’s game against Liverpool.”

Supporters on X are keenly anticipating Ugarte‘s first appearance if he is available this weekend:

Ugarte has not played a competitive game for six weeks

It would be a tough ask for the midfielder to start on Sunday. He hasn’t featured for Paris Saint-Germain so far this season as he was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Luis Enrique.

The last time Ugarte kicked a ball in danger was in mid-July when Uruguay won against Canada in the Copa America third-place playoff.

United will be looking for a reaction to the Brighton defeat

While Ugarte may not start, manager Erik ten Hag will be happy to have another fresh face in the squad who can add quality in the middle of the park

Following the the loss at the Amex with another defeat to Liverpool would set off alarm bells so ten Hag will be hoping his players can step up to the plate this weekend.
