Reports suggest that Manchester United are starting to look at alternatives to Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte as no agreement is in sight.
The Uruguay international has been United’s main midfield target this summer and they have agreed personal terms with him. However, PSG’s asking price of £50.6 million has created a stalemate.
As a result, Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United have begun to look at alternatives to Ugarte as the season draws closer and closer.
United’s depth in midfield isn’t particularly great, especially as Scott McTominay has attracted serious interest from Fulham so could be on the way out soon.
