Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
The 23-year-old has been on United’s radar since the start of the transfer window and it now seems that he is keen on a move to Old Trafford.
United may have to sell a couple of names to accommodate a permanent transfer for Ugarte, with Casemiro and Scott McTominay being two names that could be on their way out this summer.
Romano took to X to share the news, he said: “Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Manuel Ugarte.
“Contract terms discussed, player keen on moving to United even without Champions League football.”

The Uruguayan has spent just one season at PSG after moving from Sporting CP last summer. He made 37 appearances for the club in what appears to be his first and last season at the Parc des Princes.
PSG values Ugarte at around the £50 million mark, but it is unclear so far as to how much Manchester United would be prepared to pay with the chance of a loan deal also looking likely.
Manchester United looking to sell two midfielders
Scott McTominay and Casemiro could be casualties of the Ugarte signing as United will need departures to help balance the books.
McTominay has generated plenty of interest in the Premier League with the Sun reporting that both Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are in the race for the Scottish international.
Saudi Arabia has been mentioned as a possible destination for Casemiro, however, reports suggest that Manchester United is struggling to sell the midfielder and may have to take a big loss on him. They signed Casemiro in 2022 for around £70 million from Real Madrid, however, his value now sits around the £20 million mark.
