Since the start of the transfer window, Erik Ten Hag has been keen on signing a centre-back. After the Red Devils lost Raphael Varane at the end of the season, they have a big hole to fill in defence.
They have previously shown interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, Bayern Munich man Matthis De Ligt, and Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi.
Liverpool decide to drop interest in Leny Yoro
Yoro, is a hot property this summer with Real Madrid and Liverpool previously showing an interest in the 18-year-old. Madrid is the defender’s most likely destination, but United have been given a boost now that Liverpool have dropped out.
The Reds decided to drop their interest due to Yoro’s dream of going to Madrid this summer, however, his desire hasn’t yet put off Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United.
Lille are prepared to sell the youngster this summer as his contract expires next year meaning that they will want to avoid him going as a free agent in order to make a profit on the defender.
