Manchester United and Arsenal are both “chasing” the signature of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The former Manchester City player is out of contract at the end of the season and he could make a return to the Premier League on a free transfer.
With Sane commanding a high salary and the fact that he will turn 29 in January, supporters on X don’t believe he would be a good addition to the squad:
Signing a dude that is older than rashford possibly coming in at the same wage as rashford that just isn’t good recruitment

Sane is not a prolific player like that and is not better than Amad my opinion

United will be looking to strengthen the right wing
The Red Devils are weak on the right flank. Antony’s move to Old Trafford has not worked out, and it seems unlikely that he will stay at the club much longer.
Whether Sane is the type of signing that the club should be making, though, is another matter. He would effectively be brought in on a free but there are several downsides as fans have mentioned.
Sane is not the only player being targeted
With the club said to be focusing its recruitment on younger players, you do feel that Sane would not really fit into their plans due to his age.
United have been linked with several left-footed right-wingers in recent months, including Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Southampton’s Tyler Dibling and they would both be targets more in line with what the club want.
