Manchester United are weighing up whether to sign two more players from Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
After recruiting Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui last summer, the Red Devils are now said to be targeting Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane ahead of the January transfer window.
While a few fans on X would be interested in signing the two players, the majority believe that United would be bringing in a couple of Bayern’s cast-offs:

Why is #MUFC targeting players like Goretzka and Sané, who may be past their prime? Shouldn’t INEOS prioritize investing in young talents with greater long-term potential instead of experienced players with limited future upside?

Nice bring them, experienced players

Rubbish

Seriously doubt INEOS will be looking at either player. Their new player profile is one of young potential for the future and not ready-made players.

The 2 Bayern players are on the market
Goretzka is no longer a key player for the Bundesliga giants. The German has played just one minute in the league so far this season.
Sane, meanwhile, is nearing the end of his contract. At the moment, the former Manchester City winger is unlikely to sign an extension so he could be let go for a cut-price deal in January. Alternatively, he will be available for free next summer.
United need to strengthen their right flank
While a replacement for Christian Eriksen is probably going to be needed, Goretzka is not that much younger than the Denmark international. He will be 30 in February so Erik ten Hag‘s side may be wise to steer clear of him.
An approach for Sane is a different matter. He is a left-footed winger and he would be an upgrade on someone like Antony, who has struggled over the last two seasons.
