Manchester United are reportedly interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer.
The Red Devils are looking to add more talent to the squad as Ruben Amorim aims to improve results for the club.
They come off the back of a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in a game where they looked vulnerable to attacks throughout.
Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer might be what they need as he is a hard-tackling defensive midfielder who can also play as a full-back.
He’s made 18 appearances for the German side this season and has began to shine under new manager Vincent Kompany.
According to Football Journalist Florian Plettenberg, United are keen to sign the 27-year-old, but are yet to make contact with Bayern Munich regarding his transfer.
He said: “Manchester United were recently impressed by the performances of Konrad Laimer. However, there is currently no contact with his management and no other discussions taking place at this time.”
Manchester United could make a move for the Austria international who’s market value is £25m; he is under contract at Bayern until June 2027.
Manchester United raid Bayern Munich squad
The Red Devils have already signed two Bayern Munich players this season as in the summer transfer window, they added both Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui in defence.
De Ligt has struggled so far this season in red and will be hoping that his performances can turn under Amorim as he needs to justify the £38.5m transfer fee.
However, Noussair Mazraoui has been impressive under both Erik Ten Hag and Amorim as he has been playing as an attacking full-back.
The £12.8m transfer fee seems to be a comparative bargain and one of the better signings that United have made over the past five years.
