Journalist Reveals Manchester United Are Also “Keeping An Eye On The Situation” Of £37M Rated Arsenal Target

Manchester United are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Kang-in Lee, according to Relevo.com reporter Matteo Moretto.

Arsenal were linked with the South Korean international earlier this week but Moretto says that both the Red Devils and Newcastle are “keeping an eye on the situation” too.

Lee is said to be weighing up whether to leave PSG despite being used on a regular basis by the Ligue One champions.

It is believed that the 23-year-old is looking for a new challenge, with a move to the Premier League likely to be seen as an attractive option.

How much would United have to pay?

PSG paid Mallorca €22m for Lee eighteen months ago and they will reportedly want at least double that (€44m or £37m) to let him leave the Parc des Princes.

It remains to be seen whether Ruben Amorim’s side have enough funds to pursue the player. Moretto says that no club has started “official talks” about signing him so far but that could change.

Lee could be Antony’s replacement

The South Korean is a left-footed right winger, and it is a position that the Red Devils badly need to strengthen. They do have Amad Diallo but his understudy is unlikely to remain at Old Trafford for much longer.

Antony is not a key player for Amorim and Olympiakos have reportedly held talks about a potential loan deal. However, at the moment, no agreement has been reached with United.

If Antony does depart before the transfer window closes, though, a replacement would need to be found. An approach for Lee could potentially be explored before the end of January so it is definitely a move that United supporters should watch out for, in addition to Randal Kolo Muani, over the coming weeks.
