Man United are at risk of losing attacker Jadon Sancho this summer after Paris Saint-Germain are close to agreeing personal terms with him.
The 24-year-old’s time at United has been fraught with issues as disagreements with Erik Ten Hag led to the former Borussia Dortmund star’s troubled season last campaign.
However, Manchester United has said they are keen on holding onto Sancho after he had a successful loan spell at his former club Dortmund this past season.
According to The Daily Briefing, United would be tempted to accept any offer around the £46m mark for Sancho but that would still generate a loss of £25m from the £71m that Manchester United paid for him in 2021.
Sancho’s successful season away from Manchester United
The England international spent the second half of last season on loan with his former club Borussia Dortmund as he wasn’t getting game time in Ten Hag’s United team.
The move was a success for Sancho who played 21 games since January, scoring three goals, and recording three assists helping Dortmund to their first Champions League final since 2013.
Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Sancho
Reports suggest that PSG manager Luis Enrique is keen on signing Sancho to bolster his attack after losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.
The French giants will have to send a big enough offer to tempt Manchester United to sell the 24-year-old who may be keen on moving after a turbulent time at Old Trafford.
It is understood that PSG will open with an offer of around £34m which will likely not be enough for United to sell Sancho. However, if they push closer to the £40m mark, United could be tempted to let the 24-year-old leave rather than deal with the issues that the former Man City player seems to always have.
