Manchester United are preparing a bid to sign Sporting Lisbon right wingback Geovany Quenda, according to A BOLA.
The Portuguese tabloid claims that Ruben Amorim’s side are willing to pay €60m (£50m) plus add-ons for the teenager with the move being lined up for the summer transfer window.
Some fans on X believe Quenda will be an excellent addition to the squad but others have their doubts about Amorim raiding his former club for one of his first signings:

Quenda is on United’s radar
Speaking last week, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on the Portuguese Under 21 international.
Whether that will lead to a formal bid as A BOLA report, we shall have to wait and see, but there is clearly some level of interest in Quenda.
There is competition for the winger
Quenda’s performances have caught the eye of other clubs, with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Juventus having also been mentioned as potential suitors over the past month.
Considering the 17-year-old was given his debut by Amorim, though, it’s clear that United would be favourites to snap him up if they do make a concerted effort to sign him.
A January bid is unlikely, mostly due to the fact that Amorim has publicly stated that he has promised Sporting’s president that he would not raid his former team midway through the campaign. The summer is a different story though.
