Ben Chilwell, Chelsea
Chelsea left-back Chilwell was linked over a move to Old Trafford last month as United’s Luke Shaw has been plagued by injury over the past couple of seasons.
Chilwell has been backed to leave Stamford Bridge after manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that he is likely to leave Chelsea before the deadline.
Valued at roughly £24m, the left-back has also had injury problems in recent years which could cause United to doubt whether to invest in him.
