‘Proper Baller’ ‘We Need Him’ ‘Casemiro’s Replacement’ United Fans Hope That Reports Of Interest In Brazilian Are True

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is “still being targeted” by Manchester United, according to TNT Sports Brazil.

The sports network claim that the Red Devils, Newcastle and Juventus are all interested in the Brazilian international.

Ederson has been on the club’s radar for quite some time and fans on X are hoping that United do finally make a move for the player in January:

Ederson caught the eye in the Champions League

The 25-year-old put in an excellent performance for Atalanta against Arsenal on Thursday evening.

It is not the first time that he has impressed on the European stage, having played a key role in helping his team beat Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final last season.

United’s rivals have made contact with the player

Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier this year that Liverpool had been in touch with Ederson’s representatives. The Reds never followed up their initial enquiry with an official bid though.

The Brazilian is said to have a release clause between €50m (£42m) and €60m (£50m) so we shall see if Erik ten Hag’s side are tempted to make a move for him in the New Year.
