Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho remains available for transfer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jacobs said that the Red Devils need to raise funds to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules and the Argentinian international is one of the club’s most saleable assets:
“There’s still a feeling, even though it’d be a reluctant sale, that Alejandro Garnacho is a player that, on the books, could be very valuable, and in the same way that Manchester United would have considered a sale in January, it will be the case again for financial reasons in the summer too.”
Garnacho was reportedly on the market in January, with clubs such as Chelsea and Napoli keen on securing his services, but neither team matched the player’s asking price.
How much do United want for the winger?
It is believed that Garnarcho’s departure would be sanctioned if the club receives a bid in the region of £60m. Such an offer seems unlikely at the moment considering the forward’s form.
The 20-year-old has scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists in 38 appearances this season but all but one of those goal contributions came before Ruben Amorim’s appointment back in November.
Garnacho is not the only first-team player that could be sold
Jacobs also claims that the Red Devils are hopeful of offloading Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro on a permanent basis this summer.
Aston Villa do have a £40m purchase option on Rashford so there is a good chance that the England international will leave Old Trafford.
Anotny has started his loan spell at Real Betis pretty strongly so the Brazilian could have suitors as well. Casemiro, meanwhile, is likely to attract interest from Saudi Arabia, although the player has made it clear that he is keen on seeing out the last year of his contract at United.
