Flamengo have approached Manchester United about signing Casemiro on loan, according to reports in Brazil.
Journalist Jorge Nicola (via Sport Witness) claims that the Red Devils would be willing to pay the majority of the midfielder’s wages. It is believed that Casemiro takes home around £350,000 a week.
Based on those figures, most fans on X believe that United would not approve such a one-sided loan deal:
Just not happening.

We aren’t going to have any players left at this rate.

Paying the large part of his salary while he's playing for another club doesn't make much . Does it ?

I don’t understand why we don’t just have him around for 6 more months and sell him in the summer why loan him out, and it’s not like we are loaning Casemiro because of his extortionate wages because we are prepared to pay a large part of it? Doesnt make sense

Don’t let him go if we’re paying most of his salary

Casemiro has fallen out of favour under Amorim
Since Ruben Amorim‘s appointment back in November, the Brazilian has started just three games in all competitions.
Asked for an explanation for Casemiro’s lack of minutes last month, Amorim said that he doesn’t believe the 32-year-old can match the intensity required for the Premier League:
“We are in a league where there is a big intensity difference. Therefore I feel our team needs players with high intensity and sometimes we don’t have them.
“We all know Casemiro’s qualities and everything he has won, so I have nothing to add to that. It’s just a selection choice.”
United will find it difficult to find a buyer
Despite Amorim clearly stating that Casemiro is not a key part of his plans, the midfielder still has 18 months left on his contract.
Considering the salary he is earning, finding a suitor could be difficult. The Saudi window is already closed so if United still want him to leave, Brazil is a potential solution. Their transfer deadline is on February 28th.
