Manchester United supporters have been discussing whether the clubs should sign Adrien Rabiot.
The France international, who reached the World Cup final with his country in 2022, is still a free agent and he can be snapped up outside of the transfer window.
Rabiot has been regularly linked with a switch to Old Trafford over the last two years but, even with the player being available for nothing, fans on X are split on whether the club should recruit him:

Could be a great addition to the squad!

Rabiot is already entering 30s why don’t you just trust colleyer

Yes but only if he isnβt on massive wages. Itβs good squad depth and will help take the pressure off Mainoo and allow him to develop correctly rather than having to carry us at heβs young age.

Rabiot’s wage demands are a big obstacle
It has been reported over the past couple of days that the Frenchman’s mum and agent is demanding clubs pay the player Β£220,000 a week.
United have not been averse to giving out sizeable wages over the years but, even when a move was first mooted during the 2022 summer transfer window, it was reported that the deal collapsed over personal terms.
It seems that the Red Devils are still hesitant about paying Rabiot such a large salary now.
United could be competing with Premier League rivals for the midfielder
Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in Rabiot, although it is believed he is not particularly keen on joining the Magpies.
Arsenal could be genuine rivals if United choose to pursue the 29-year-old. The Gunners are currently short of options in midfield with both captain Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino injured.
