Manchester United Superstar Urges Club To Complete Transfer For Wonderkid

Manchester United superstar Bruno Fernandes has urged to club to push on with their transfer pursuit of Portuguese wonderkid Goncalo Ramos, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.

Ramos has been linked with a move away from his current club, Benfica, in the upcoming summer transfer window, with United in pole position to bring him on board.

On Ramos, Fernandes said: “I think Goncalo [Ramos] has all the conditions to play in the Premier League. He plays with a lot of intensity, he presses very well and is really good inside the penalty area. He is strong. Obviously, he is still very young and will improve a lot.”

“I think he could become a great reference in years to come. But it is still not in my hands, it is up to the sporting director. When I am in that position, I will make those decisions.”

Who else, besides Manchester United, are interested in a move for Goncalo Ramos?

Currently, Manchester United are the only club who are heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old. Both Newcastle United and Arsenal have reportedly been interested in a move for the player over the last six months, but neither have been linked with him in recent weeks.

As such, nothing should stand in the Red Devils’ way of completing a transfer – apart from a potentially massive transfer fee for the player.

What would Goncalo Ramos add to the squad?

Goncalo Ramos is currently one of the best young players in the world. He is an incredibly effective centre-forward, combining technical dribbling ability with composed finishing in front of goal.

Moreover, he also boasts underrated physical attributes. He possesses respectable pace and at 6ft 1, also provides an effective aerial presence.

Last season, Ramos scored 19 goals in 30 appearances for Benfica – he also notched up a pair of assists, as Os Encarnados won yet another Portuguese league title.

With United in the hunt for a world-class striker in the summer, they could do far worse than Ramos – he is already a top quality player, but he still has plenty of time to develop.
