Manchester United face Liverpool for their third game of the season after a win and a loss in their two opening games.
The Red Devils come off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Brighton who lost to Arsenal on Saturday. Erik Ten Hag hopes for a bounce back this week against a tricky Liverpool side.
Liverpool have won both opening games against Ipswich and Brentford and could go to the top of the table with a win against United on Sunday afternoon.
It will be Arne Slot’s first trip to Old Trafford and with the rivalry between the two sides as fierce as ever, it isn’t set to disappoint.
Erik Ten Hag’s side has been ravaged by injury so far this season with Rasmus Hojlund, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and more all left on the sidelines.
However, the recent signing of Manuel Ugarte will send a boost to the midfield with new additions Matthis De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui helping out in defence.
Liverpool backed to beat Manchester United
The Reds have had the better start to the season, something that the bookies aren’t ignoring and despite United having the home advantage, Liverpool are backed to win.
According to Oddschecker, Arne Slot’s side are 19/20 favourites giving them over a 50% chance of coming away with three points. Whereas United are backed at 29/10 and a draw at 16/5.
Erik Ten Hag will hope for better after he faced defeat last week, but we are predicting an entertaining 2-1 Liverpool win which would help the Reds keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the table.
