LB – Diogo Dalot – Dalot has started every game so far for United, but with Luke Shaw close to a return, he could be looking over his shoulder.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – Martinez returns from international duty as one of the clear first-choice centre-backs for Erik Ten Hag.
CB – Matthijs De Ligt – De Ligt hopes to cement his place in defence for United as he gets to grips with Premier League football following his move from Bayern Munich.
RB – Noussair Mazraoui – Mazraoui has impressed so far with an assist to his name in the opening game (his debut) against Fulham.
