Manchester United Rival Bayern For World Cup Semi Finalist As Club Target De Gea Replacement

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are expected to fight it out for Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, according to SportPress24.com.

The website claim that manager Erik ten Hag is keen on the 31-year-old as he looks to strengthen his goalkeeping options after Martin Dubravka was recalled from his loan spell by Newcastle.

However, Bounou is more likely to be seen as a potential long-term replacement for David De Gea, with the Spaniard’s contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Bounou was a star performer for Morocco as his country made it all the way to the semi-finals of the World Cup, and his displays have been attracting the attention of other teams.

Bayern are also said to be pursuing the shot-stopper due to an injury sustained by number one Manuel Neuer, so we shall see if United do seriously challenge the Bundesliga champions for the Sevilla player’s signature.
