Manchester United Predicted XI vs Club Brugge

Manchester United face Club Brugge in their Champions League Qualifier tonight. Manager Louis van Gaal says the pressure is high for the game with a home win being vital.

The Red Devils host the Belgian club in the first of two legs, with the winner progressing to the group stage of the Champions League.

Brugge finished top of the Belgian Pro League, but eventually finished runners-up following the playoffs that come after. The side haven’t been in with a shot at the Champions League since 2005, so will be determined to give their all. Their squad has a few notable names, but they shouldn’t pose much of a threat for United.

United head into the game with a 100% winning start to the season after beating Spurs and Aston Villa in the Premier League. They will look to continue business as usual tonight, but the Belgian side could hold out for a draw – something that may cause problems for United who certainly haven’t been among the goals so far this season.

Here’s how we think United will line up against Brugge:

(4-2-3-1)

Romero

Darmian – Smalling – Blind – Shaw

Schneiderlin – Schweinsteiger

Mata – Herrera – Depay

Rooney

It could be that LvG goes with a similar side to the one that faced Aston Villa. However it’s likely that a number of players will be rested.
