Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Andre Onana – 7/10 – made good saves from Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota and Conor Bradley, although he may feel he could have got closer to Mo Salah’s penalty.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – 4/10 – the Dutchman was at fault for both goals. Was done by Cody Gakpo for Liverpool’s first before handling the ball for the penalty.
CB – Harry Maguire – 5/10 – gave a good account himself defensively but he did miss a glaring chance right at the death. Admittedly, the pass from Zirkzee did bobble somewhat.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – 8/10 – a big improvement on the Argentinian’s recent form. Set up Hojlund for a chance in the first half before firing in the opener himself.
