Manchester United on high alert as Chelsea star hints at Stamford Bridge exit

Manchester United are on high alert after the latest revelations over the future of Chelsea forward Willian.

Sky Sports News report that the Brazil international will leave the club this summer if Antonio Conte remains as manager, with the 29-year-old unhappy with his treatment from the Italian.

Willian has fallen out of favour with the Italian in recent months, and was used as only a late substitute in the Blues’ FA Cup final win over Manchester United on Saturday.

And the 29-year-old did little to hide his feelings at his exclusion from the starting line-up – editing Conte out of a celebratory post on his Instagram in which he shared a photo of the squad with the trophy.

Conte was widely expected to leave the Blues after a difficult season and a number of high profile bust ups with the club’s hierarchy – however lifting the FA Cup on Saturday may now have saved his job for at least another season.

And should that be the case, Willian will ask to leave the club in search of more regular football.

A host of club’s have already been put on high alert following the reports, including Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the Brazil international, and is understood to be keen on a reunion with his former player should he become available.

The pair have maintained a strong relationship since Mourinho’s departure from Chelsea in 2015, with the pair seen embracing before Saturday’s final.

Mourinho also sang the praises of the Brazilian earlier in the year when the two sides met in the Premier League, saying: “Do you want to talk about Willian? Top, cream of the crop, he’s amazing.”
