Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim admitted after the 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle on Monday night that his team could potentially be in a relegation battle.

That is certainly not something fans will want to hear and, while they are still quite a far away above the dropzone, recent results have been very alarming.

The first half-hour against the Magpies, in particular, was dreadful, with Amorim quickly realising that he had picked the wrong starting lineup.
