Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Andre Onana – 6/10 – was unsighted for Moises Caicedo’s goal. Did have one dodgy moment when he dropped the ball in the first half but he recovered.
RB – Diogo Dalot – 6/10 – a rash challenge on Pedro Neto got him a yellow card, but he managed the winger well after that, despite being on a booking.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – 7/10 – made two important blocks to stop Cole Palmer from shooting following mistakes from his teammates.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – 6/10 – could have easily been sent off for his knee-high tackle on Palmer, but he was defensively sound.
LB – Noussair Mazraoui – 8/10 – by far and away United’s best player, keeping the dangerous Noni Madueke quiet.
