Manchester United midfielder Casemiro had a day to forget as he was substituted at half-time during the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Two errors from the Brazilian led to the Red Devils conceding their first two goals. An errant pass was pounced on by United’s opponents, leading to Mo Salah crossing for Luis Diaz to open the scoring with a header.
Casemiro was then dispossessed in the middle of the pitch before Salah and Diaz combined once again for Liverpool to go two goals up before the interval. Some fans on X have declared that the midfielder is “finished” as a United player:

Thank God Manuel Ugarte signed

United have already signed a replacement
Supporters will be relieved that the club managed to secure the services of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain before the transfer window closed.
The Uruguayan international was snapped up for an initial £42m on deadline day, and you would expect that he will replace Casemiro in the starting lineup after the international break.
Ten Hag is under pressure
Two defeats from the first three league fixtures is not what anyone would have expected, and manager Erik ten Hag knows that his side need to improve massively on their display at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Dutchman will be given time to bed in United’s five summer signings but, after the embarrassing nature of the loss to Liverpool, patience among fans is in short supply.
