Manchester United are aiming to win their next Premier League title by 2028, in time for the club’s 150th anniversary, according to The Athletic.
CEO Omar Berrada has set targets as part of “Project 150” which lays out the plan for finishing in top spot within the next four years.
It is fair to say that most fans on X are sceptical about the goal, with some doubting it can be achieved under current manager Erik ten Hag:
We won’t do it with Ten hag.

We probably won’t do it with Ten Hag, sadly.

It will require hard work and consistency.

Will Erik be the one to do that? 🤔

That's far

Good luck with that when we can’t even beat Twente and Palace 🙄

Definitely not with Erik in charge.

A lot needs to change to win the Premier League
With United currently languishing 11th in the table, the prospect of the club winning their 21st top-division title seems a long way away.
However, things can change very quickly in football. As long as Berrada and sporting director Dan Ashworth get the right structure in place then the Red Devils can begin to challenge at the top end of the table once again.
United’s rivals will have a thing or two to say
Of course, as we have seen with Arsenal, you can have the whole club aligned and moving in the right direction, but it doesn’t guarantee titles.
Breaking Manchester City’s dominance of the Premier League will be tough, although the departure of Pep Guardiola would make things a lot easier for United and others.
