Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho scored a brace as the Red Devils thrashed Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
The Argentinian international followed up his strike against Southampton at the weekend to make it 3 goals and 2 assists from his last 2 appearances.
Fans on X have been praising Garnacho, with many expecting him to excel for United over the coming weeks and months:

"Speed, skill, and swagger — Garnacho is United’s future! 🔥 #MUFC"

Garnacho has 7 goal involvements (4g,3a) in 6 games but has only played 255 minutes. So that is a goal involvement every 36 mins. If he can keep this form up he's in for a very good season. Fingers crossed it continues 🤞🏼 #ManUtd #Garnacho #MUFC #UnitedStand

The competition between Garnacho and Amad is very good… Let see who will get regular chance of starting game in our coming matches

Garnacho is pressing for starts
The Argentinian international won’t be happy with the fact that manager Erik ten Hag has opted to keep him on the bench for the majority of the league games this campaign.
Garnacho’s only start came in the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, but his excellent performance against Barnsley does make a case for him being named in the first eleven on a more regular basis.
United have competition on the wings
With Marcus Rashford back in the goals and Amad Diallo having impressed again at the weekend, Garnacho knows he has to keep knocking on the door if he wants more game time.
While there are still concerns about Antony, despite the Brazilian scoring a penalty against Barnsley, ten Hag does have at least three wingers he can rely upon to produce the goods at the moment. We shall see who the Dutchman picks on Saturday against Crystal Palace.
