Manchester United superstar Casemiro celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday, which he marked with a post on Instagram.
In the caption, Casemiro wrote: “I had a wonderful birthday!! Thanks to my family!! Thanks Old Trafford and @manchesterunited!! And thank you for all the birthday wishes!!”
Not only did the Brazilian celebrate his birthday with a cake – he also celebrated it with a win, as Manchester United beat his old rivals Barcelona in the Europa League play-off at Old Trafford. Additionally, Casemiro put in a man of the match performance en route to United’s victory. Suffice to say, it seems pretty evident that Casemiro has had a very happy birthday.
The post contains two photos – the first shows Casemiro with his family, sat in front of a huge birthday cake. The second shows the 31-year-old roaring with elation after his team defeated the Catalonian giants.
Casemiro’s post has just under 1,500,000 likes on Instagram at this current moment. Players such as Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus (formerly of Manchester City), Tottenham’s Richarlison and former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema have all left a like on the pictures.
As well as this, a few United players left Casemiro a happy birthday message in the comments section. They included David De Gea, Anthony Elanga and Luke Shaw.
Given Man Utd’s form and the fact they are still in 4 competitions, if they win the League Cup Final vs Newcastle United on Sunday you could imagine them using it as a spring board and then pushing Arsenal and Manchester City for the title as well as looking at winning the FA Cup and the Europa League.
