GK – Andre Onana – Onana featured in United’s 3-0 loss to Liverpool. He will be hoping not to see the ball hit the net quite so many times against City.
RB – Diogo Dalot – Dalot has been Erik Ten Hag’s first-choice right-back for two seasons in a row. He will likely keep the spot this season with rumors of Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s imminent exit.
CB – Harry Maguire – This may have been Leny Yoro’s place had the 18-year-old been fit going into Saturday’s clash.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – Martinez hasn’t featured heavily in United’s pre-season due to his involvement in Argentina’s Copa America squad.
LB – Luke Shaw – It was a disappointing summer for Luke Shaw who wasn’t able to have much involvement in England’s Euro 2024 campaign due to injury.
