Manchester United are “lining up” former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The local newspaper claims that, although the Red Devils have considered other candidates, the fact that the German is available immediately makes him an attractive option.
There has been a mixed reaction to the report among supporters on X. Some feel Tuchel would be a big improvement on ten Hag while others are not convinced:

A United board meeting will take place this week
MEN report that the club’s hierarchy will hold high-level talks on Tuesday (October 8th) to discuss the manager situation.
We will likely find out whether ten Hag will stay in his role beyond the international break soon afterwards.
Why is the club so interested in Tuchel?
The 51-year-old has a strong track record of having an instant impact on results. After being appointed Chelsea manager at the start of 2021, it took him less than 6 months to win the Champions League.
At Bayern Munich, Tuchel’s influence was even more immediate as he won the Bundesliga just a couple of months after his arrival.
There are, however, concerns about Tuchel’s ability to stay at one club for the long term. He fell out with people at both Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea, while he was also sacked by Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern.
