Manchester United Left Back Luke Shaw Dealt Injury Setback Ahead Of Internationals

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw could miss England’s upcoming games against Croatia and Spain, according to reports.

The 23-year-old completed the full 90 minutes against Newcastle United on Saturday evening, but following the 3-2 win, he complained about picking up a knock.

At this stage, there isn’t any information regarding the nature of the injury, and it isn’t known how long it will keep him out of action.

Shaw came back from the last international break with a concussion after being knocked unconscious in a challenge during England’s UEFA Nations League defeat to Spain.

After a difficult few years at Old Trafford due to injury problems and poor form, the defender has made the left-back position his own under Jose Mourinho this campaign.

He has started nine of United’s eleven matches at the start of this season, scoring once and providing one assist. He started just 14 times in the whole of the 2017/18 campaign.
