Centre-back Harry Maguire would be in line to start on Friday night should he be available. An injury to new signing Leny Yoro means that Maguire is likely to be the first-choice centre-back.
He is currently being assessed over a knock that he took in training, making him a doubt for the match against Fulham.
Erik Ten Hag said last week: “[There is] a little knock with Harry, but we hope he can keep fit and available for next week when we start the season against Fulham.”
Should Maguire miss the game, Ten Hag will have issues at centre-back with already limited options. However, signing Matthis De Ligt from Bayern Munich could ease pressure on the United boss.
