‘Please End This Season Already’ ‘Curse Continues’ Fans React As Manchester United Suffer Triple Blow

Manchester United midfield trio Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer and Manuel Ugarte have had fitness setbacks, according to reports.

The Athletic claim that Mainoo is expected to be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks, while both Collyer and Ugarte are doubts to face Tottenham.

It could leave head coach Ruben Amorim with very few midfield options, and supporters on X are pretty downbeat about the whole situation:

Who will start against Spurs?

A lot will depend on Collyer and Ugarte’s fitness. In his pre-match press conference, Amorim mentioned that one player was suffering from illness so, if he can recover in time, he could still start at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Otherwise, Amorim will be faced with the prospect of playing either Casemiro or Christian Eriksen alongside captain Bruno Fernandes in midfield. Neither option is particularly enticing.
