Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez has been cleared to return for United against Barnsley on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils face a game at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup against League One side Barnsley and Martinez is available for selection after failing a fitness test before United’s game against Southampton this past weekend.
Martinez may not start against Barnsley if Erik Ten Hag decides to rotate his squad somewhat, but he will be available to the United boss on Tuesday night.
Expected Return Date – Tuesday 17 September vs Barnsley (H)
Rasmus Hojlund
Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund is finally close to returning for the Red Devils as they look for a much-needed striker option alongside Joshua Zirkzee.
Hojlund suffered an injury against Arsenal in a pre-season game and has been dealing with a thigh issue ever since.
He will miss Tuesday’s game against Barnsley but could possibly be back for this weekend’s match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Expected Return Date – Wednesday 25 September vs FC Twente (H)
