‘Hope It’s Nothing Too Serious’ ‘He’ll Be Fine’ Fans React As Key United Star Picks Up Knock Ahead Of Arsenal Clash

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was pictured with an ice pack on his left ankle after being substituted during the 4-0 win over Everton.

Manuel Ugarte replaced the Portuguese international after 65 minutes of the game at the weekend.

Supporters on X have been discussing what implications it could have for the match against Arsenal on Wednesday night:

It would be a blow to lose Fernandes

The midfielder got himself two assists on Sunday which shows you that he is now back to his best after a very slow start to the season.

Head coach Ruben Amorim will be keen to have him available for the trip to the Emirates. Fernandes rarely sits out games, even when he isn’t 100% fit, so it would be a surprise if he doesn’t play against the Gunners.

Manchester United team news ahead of the Arsenal match

In addition to Fernandes, the Red Devils have three other players who are doubts for the game; Jonny Evans (knock), Victor Lindelof (groin) and Leny Yoro (fitness).

Amorim will also be without both Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo due to suspension. The pair picked up their fifth bookings of the season in the victory versus Everton.

The lack of options at centre-half is particularly concerning, although Noussair Mazraoui and Luke Shaw have performed well when asked to play in a back three.
