Manchester United Have Made Their Decision Over Whether To Loan Out Van De Beek This Month

Manchester United have knocked back approaches from a number of clubs to take Donny van de Beek on loan this month, according to ESPN.

The Dutchman has barely featured since signing from Ajax for £40m in the summer, and there had been speculation that he could be allowed to go out on a temporary basis before the January transfer window closed.

However, the Red Devils have decided that van de Beek will stay for the rest of the season, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to keep his squad together in order to have the best chance of winning the league, FA Cup and Europa League.

The Norwegian reportedly wants the Netherlands international around in case of an injury crisis, while the likes of Jesse Lingard, Brandon Williams and Axel Tuanzebe could also remain at Old Trafford.

Another factor is the fear of a virus outbreak which could decimate the squad, and having someone with van de Beek’s quality available in the squad, could prove vital in the battle for trophies.
