Manchester United opened their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over Fulham on Friday night as Erik Ten Hag looks to improve on last year’s eighth-placed finish. 

The Red Devils won after waiting until the 87th minute for a goal which was scored by new signing Joshua Zirkzee who arrived at Old Trafford from Bologna in Italy.

United were able to create several chances in the game but struggled to find the net with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho missing clear chances.
