Manchester United angrily react to Pogba and Jose fallout rumours

The goings on at Manchester United this summer have been very strange to witness for everyone. It’s not very often the club is faced with the dilemma of players wanting to leave, but when they are, it often sends shock waves across the world.

All summer long, it has been reported that star man Paul Pogba wants out of Old Trafford, with tensions between the player and manager Jose Mourinho worsening as time goes on.

The pair had an apparent fallout earlier in the year, after Jose dropped the Frenchman on multiple occasions for his poor form and consistency.

Despite rumours, it seemed Pogba was likely to remain a United player though. That was until after France won the World Cup, when Mourinho decided to make some questionable comments about his midfielder – which apparently left Pogba bemused.

Now, after the 25-year-old captained United to victory over Leicester on the opening day of the season, the story remains wide open.

Pogba hinted that he was unhappy at the club after the game, saying he would get fined if he spoke the truth, and United fans will have woken up this morning to the news that the player has had yet another bust up with his manager.

A report claimed the two clashed again this week after Mourinho took aim at Pogba for wanting to join Barcelona, and that the Portuguese had urged the France international to put in a transfer request.

But Sky Sports presenter James Cooper has revealed that Manchester United contacted him to deny false accusations that the two had clashed again.

“Manchester United have spoken to me this morning,” he said.

“Which is very rare and unusual for Manchester United to react to stories at all, particularly to react so angrily.

“And they are angry, they are incensed, they’re telling me there was no bust up between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba.

“The reports of this are absolute nonsense.

“Furthermore, the relationship between the two people is good.”

It is understood that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola wants his client to join Barcelona, and United obviously want their star man to remain. Whatever is happening, it is strange that the Red Devils have gone out of their way to clarify rumours with the press.
