The Champions League stars seem properly aligned for a spectacular exchange between Manchester United and Bayern Munich. After the Red Devils secured Memphis Depay’s signature, many have said that Di Maria has one foot out the door. The young Dutchman even told the press that he is planning on making fans forget the Argentinian as he plans on becoming LVG’s number one pick for the left side of the pitch. Shortly after that rumors that Thomas Muller has had a fallout with Guardiola hit the news.
The German striker is probably every manager’s dream in terms of efficiency and work ethic. Even so, there seems to be no turning back for him despite being under contract with Bayern until 2019. Luckily for Manchester, his relationship with LVG is a special one as the Dutch manager introduced the World Cup winner to Bayern’s first team. With a budget which allows van Gaal to pay for any player he wants and with Muller’s new found desire to leave, Manchester might get their hands on a one of a kind player. Add to that the fact that Bayern were already looking into signing DiMaria and you get a done deal.
Hopefully nothing will come between the transfers as a player like Muller really looks like he has that special quality needed at Old Trafford. He looks like a great future replacement for Rooney despite having less defensive qualities than the captain. In terms of attack though the two are pretty even which is nothing but great news. According to Metro, Muller is valued at about £45million which is pretty close to what DiMaria will probably end up costing after he less than impressive season.
