Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, according to reports.
There are doubts surrounding the future of current No.1 Andre Onana after a catalogue of mistakes this season and talkSPORT claim that the Red Devils have stepped up their attempts to find a potential replacement.
Supporters on X are concerned about Suzuki’s lack of experience and many feel he isn’t of the required standard to play for United:
I’ve seen him play. I was not impressed. 😒 Onana 2.0

£40m when we could’ve gotten him for 10 times less two years ago. Joke club.

Suzuki has a hefty price tag
The 22-year-old is reportedly valued at £40m by Parma, which is a very high sum for a keeper who cost £6.5m when he joined the Serie A side last summer.
Considering that United had been tracking Suzuki’s development since his time with Urawa Reds, many feel that the Manchester club should have moved to secure his services sooner when he was available for a much lower fee.
Are United looking at any other goalkeepers?
Suzuki is by no means the only candidate to replace Onana in goal. It has been suggested that Ruben Amorim’s side have made enquiries for Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen.
The Dutchman is the exact same age as Suzuki but he is a lot more experienced, having played in the Premier League for the best part of two years as well as being his country’s No.1 keeper.
