Defensive qualities

When we look at duels won, Tchouameni (5.84 per 90 minutes) and Scott (5.82 per 90) are very similar, with Carlos Baleba just behind the pair (5.52 per 90).

In contrast, Berge (4.02 per 90) and Tonali (3.79 per 90) engage in duels considerably less often. Tchouameni does, however, stand out in terms of winning over two-thirds (68%) of his duels, while the other 4 are closer to the 50% to 55% mark.

Recovery of loose balls is another key trait when we assess work rate, and Scott is the clear winner here with 6.14 per 90, compared to Baleba (5.69),  Tonali (5.20), Tchouameni (4.94) and Berge (4.11).

Tchouameni is, however, better when it comes to tackles (2.33 per 90 minutes) and interceptions (1.61), with Baleba getting the closest in both metrics – averaging 2.00 tackles per 90 and 1.57 interceptions per 90.
