Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Senne Lammens – 7/10 – despite some sustained pressure from Newcastle in the first half, the Belgian wasn’t overly tested. He had no real chance with either goal.
RB – Noussair Mazraoui – 6/10 – solid with his defending, although he was booked for a tackle on Anthony Elanga. The Moroccan also won the freekick before United’s equaliser.
CB – Leny Yoro – 7/10 – could have scored with a header in the second half, but Aaron Ramsdale made a very good save.
CB – Harry Maguire – 7/10 – won most of his defensive duels, and he cannot really be blamed for Osula’s goal as Tyrell Malacia should have done a lot better.
LB – Luke Shaw – 6/10 – the left-back doesn’t appear to be 100% fit due to illness, but he still did ok during his hour on the pitch.
