Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Senne Lammens – 6/10 – dived the wrong way on both of Mateta’s penalty kicks but he did make some decent saves to keep United in it during the first 45 minutes.
CB – Leny Yoro – 4/10 – Poor. An error gave Mateta a chance which he put wide. The 20-year-old then made what was a crucial block to prevent a goal before giving away the penalty. Hooked early in the second half.
CB – Matthijs de Ligt – 5/10 – the Dutchman had a very tough first half against Mateta before recovering his composure after the break.
CB – Luke Shaw – 7/10 – the best player in the backline by a considerable distance, with his excellent block before halftime being the highlight.
