Man Utd have taken a 25-man squad with them to Helsinki for the first pre-season match against Wrexham this weekend.
Andrey Santos could well make his first appearances since his £50m move from Chelsea, while the likes of Harry Maguire, Patrick Dorgu, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Joshua Zirkzee and Bryan Mbeumo are also involved.
A notable absentee is Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian international is still undergoing rehabilitation after a shin injury.
Manager Michael Carrick is without several other stars who are taking time off following their exertions at the World Cup, and it means several academy players will get their chance to impress.
Many have already made their first-team debut for United, or have had experience of senior football out on loan, such as Harry Amass and Dan Gore.
However, there are a few players who have yet to get a taste of first-team action, and they may get an opportunity against Wrexham, so who are they?
Jaydan Kamason
The 19-year-old is a right-back, and he came through the youth ranks of Stockport Vikings before being picked up by United.
Kamason has been capped by England Under-16s, and he made regular appearances for United’s Under-21s last season, including the Premier League 2 playoff final against Brighton back in May.
Dan Armer
The teenager is a left-footed centre-half, who can also be deployed as a left-back if required.
Armer has been capped by Scotland at Under-19 level, and the defender captained United’s Under-18s last season as they reached the FA Youth Cup final, where they lost 2-1 to rivals Manchester City. Like Kamason, he also featured regularly for the Under 21s in Premier League 2.
Jim Thwaites
The 18-year-old is a holding midfielder with an eye for goal. He played mostly for the Under 18s last campaign, playing regularly as United reached the FA Youth Cup final.
Thwaites did begin to feature for the Under 21s in the second half of the 2025/26 season, and he started the 4-3 win over Man City in the Premier League 2 playoff semi-final. He was a substitute in the final against Brighton.
