Man Utd boss Michael Carrick has confirmed that Mason Mount is nearing a return to full fitness.

The 27-year-old has not featured in the Red Devils’ last three games against Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham, but speaking prior to the West Ham fixture, Carrick said:

“Mason will probably not [be ready] for Tuesday, probably after, but definitely going into the Everton game, he’ll be back.”

Carrick’s men take on the Toffees at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night.
